University Library

The University Library is the central facility for providing information and literature at the University of Augsburg. There are 1,652 workspaces, including many with Internet access and power, spread out across the Central Library and three libraries for humanities, social sciences and natural sciences as well as at the external library branch located in the Leopold-Mozart Centre. Half of the 2.5 million books, periodical volumes and other media are directly accessible on bookshelves. The other half of the library catalogue is in storage and can be accessed upon request.

The Campus Card also serves as your identification for using the library. It gives you access to all library services: Information, checking out books, interlibrary loans, Internet access, database access and other electronic media. The OPAC online catalogue serves as the central research instrument for the entire library inventory and allows for user-friendly searches, access to full versions of electronic texts and is use when requesting literature that can be borrowed from the library.
