We are (probably) moving back to Eichleitnerstr. 30!!

The "Hochschulbetreuungsstelle" will (probably) be closed on:

Friday, 05.07.19

Monday, 08.07.19 and

Tuesday 09.07.19

We (probably) open at the 11th of July in our office in Eichleitnerstraße 30

during the regual opening hours.

Please inform yourself via hompage about the current location of the "Hochschulbetreuungsstelle".

All fees have to be payed by debit card.


 

Important Information:

On November 1, 2015, a new Resident Registration Act becomes effective in
Germany: From then on, everybody needs a confirmation of the landlord/provider of housing space ("Wohnungsgeberbestätigung") in order to register the apartment in the city of Augsburg.

The provider of housing space is either your landlord, a person mandated by your landlord or the main tenant if you are a subtenant.
 
Please bring along your passport and the filled confirmation
"Wohnungsgeberbestätigung" if you want to register your new apartment.

 


 

Current information on residence permits:

On 1st August 2012, the law implementing the European Union directive on highly qualified workers comes into force.

For foreign students at German institutions of higher education this means:

  • 120 full days or 240 half days a year of work
  • After graduation, 18 months' stay for the purposes of job-seeking with full residence permit (no longer limited to 90 days)

Please note that it can take up to six weeks for the electronic residence permit to be issued. You can apply for the residence permit up to two months in advance.

Fees for a residence permit in Germany:

  • First issue of the residence permit for up to one year: 100 euros
  • First issue of the residence permit for more than one year: 100 euros
  • Extension of the residence permit for up to three month:  96 euros
  • Extension of the residence permit for more than three month
  • Provisional residence permit: 13 euros
  • Modification of conditions: 50 euros
